Aquila has acquired an additional 5 acres at Maldon and is in discussions with planners about a comprehensive, employment-led regeneration at this gateway site to the town. The existing businesses will stay and the proposals should lead to the creation of 300-400 local, permanent, jobs and provide improved infrastructure and first-class facilities for the town.


Phase 2 Bond Street

Phase 2, Bond Street, Chelmsford

Following successful completion of Phase 1 at Bond Street, Chelmsford (see below) Aquila has acquired all the freehold land comprising the current car park to the east of Chelmsford High Street and is finalising its discussions with planning officers relating to its proposed retail, leisure and residential mixed use development. The commercial element extends to c.175,000 sq.ft. GIA and the residential to c.210,000 sq.ft. GIA


Phase 1 Bond Street

Phase 1, Bond Street, Chelmsford

Phase 1 at Bond Street, Chelmsford completed in 2007 and comprises a high-specification residential and commercial A1/A3 mixed use riverside development in partnership with Higgins Homes. The retail units on Bond Street are now fully let and the two large restaurant units are let to Prezzo and Loch Fyne.
